Physical exercise is important for the healthy growth and development of children. At Hertford Heath preschool we engage in a variety of physical activities to help the children stay fit and healthy.
National health guidance suggests children under the age of 5 should engage in light physical activity such as standing up, moving around and playing, as well as more energentic activities like skipping, hopping, running and jumping. At pre-school we have the use of a fantastic outdoor play area where the children have access to climbing frames, bikes, water play and balls, all of which help the children get moving.
