Hertford Heath Preschool offers childcare for children from the age of 2 years up to primary School age.
We operate 5 afternoons a week in the Nursery classroom of Hertford Heath Primary School, starting after the Nursery class has finished. We have close links with the Nursery team which will be an advantage to our preschool children who hope to attend the Nursery as their next stage in education. Transition is a very important part in a child's education, so the familiarity of the environment and staff will greatly help children settle when they move onto Nursery.
For children entitled to the 30 hours free funding we can offer 30 hours sessions and also wrap around care for the children attending Hertford Heath Nursery to enable children to attend school from 8.50am-3.15pm
The staff at Hertford Heath Pre-School hold relevant qualifications. The leader is qualified to level 6, and with Early Years Professional Status. Other staff also work voluntary in the Nursery which allows the childrens learning to be continuous and reinforced, helping them to develop more quickly.
At pre-school we put a lot of emphasis on outdoor learning and have an all weather covered outdoor area. For those areas uncovered we have plenty of all-in-one waterproofs so the fun never stops for anyone.
